FAQ's

1. "I am interested in becoming a new patient. What do I do?" - Simply call or e-mail our office and we will make the whole process simple and easy. We will ask you for some information to better allow us to understand your unique needs. We will then schedule an appointment for a comprehensive examination. All the while we can assist you with insurance questions, having records transferred to our office, and answering any questions you may have. We do require you to fill out a health history document prior to the first examination. For you convenience, we can mail this to your home prior to the first visit. The comprehensive examination lasts about one hour.

2. "What is involved in a comprehensive exam?" - Our doctors and staff will spend time getting to know you as a person and learn what it is you would like to change about your smile. We will also determine what is required to maintain your optimal dental health. If you have x-rays that are less than two years old, we can assist you in having them transferred to our office. If you do not, we can take the x-rays needed to properly evaluate your dental and oral health. You can also expect us to screen for oral cancer. The whole process is gentle, pain-free, and relaxed. We will present you with a treatment plan at the conclusion of the visit which will outline treatment recommended, cost of treatment, and present you with available financial options.

3. "Can a new patient schedule a cleaning?" - Absolutely! However we do like to perform a comprehensive examination first so that we may determine how to best clean your teeth for optimal dental health. If you like, we can schedule your first cleaning immediately following the comprehensive exam.

4. "Does your office see children?" - We welcome children into our practice. You can be assured that we will treat your children just like we treat our own. In some cases we do refer children to a Pediatric Dentist if the child becomes very frightened while in the office. We want to make a child's experience with the dentist a positive one so that the child does not develop a negative attitude toward dental care. Ask about our "No Cavity Club" for children.

5. "Does your office accept dental insurance?" - We file all dental insurance plans except for Medicaid. Upon your first visit, we will ask for your insurance card and file a claim for all of your visits. We will gather the information provided about your plan so that we can give you an estimate of what portion of total costs your unique dental plan will cover. Please keep in mind that this estimate of dental coverage is only an estimate until our office gains experience with your plan. We do ask that you be prepared to pay the balance of the total fees that your plan does not cover at the time service is performed.

6. "Does your office provide financing options?" - We do have options available to assist our patients. These options include: third party financing options and we do accept all major credit cards. We also offer a discount for payment in full at the day of service when the patient's portion of the cost exceeds $500. We will extend a 5% discount if payment made by cash or check and a 2.5% discount if payment made by credit card.
