Team Profiles

Dr. Jonathan Cuthrell D.D.S
Dr. Cuthrell received his undergraduate and D.D.S. degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Cuthrell competed on the track and field team while an undergraduate at UNC. After receiving his D.D.S. degree, Dr. Cuthrell served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy for three years. In addition to completing his residency while with the Navy, he practiced dentistry while stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Dr. Cuthrell is on the Faculty of The University of North Carolina School of Dentistry as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. Furthermore, he is completing his advanced dental studies at The L.D. Pankey Institute.
When not treating patients, Dr. Cuthrell enjoys spending time with his wife and three wonderful children. He is an avid Tar Heels fan who makes the trip to Chapel Hill as time permits. He also enjoys playing softball and basketball.

Dr. Jonathan Mochnick
Dr. Mochnick, a Winston-Salem native, received his Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences/Chemistry from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and his DMD degree from Southern Illinois University- School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, MO. While at SIU, he was awarded membership into the Golden Key International Honour Society for academic excellence.
Upon licensure in 2004, he returned to North Carolina. In addition to general practice, Dr. Mochnick is also pursuing advanced training in cosmetic and implant dentistry. Outside of the office he enjoys time with his family, golf, community outreach and is an active member of Home Moravian Church in Winston-Salem.

Laura Borzachini, RDH
Laura graduated from Florida Community College of Jacksonville in 1987. She has been licensed to practice dental hygiene in North Carolina since 2000.
Laura enjoys taking continuing education courses to learn about all the advances available in dentistry. She is married with one teenage daughter, adores her family, friends, and church. She prides herself on creating a calm, comfortable dental experience each and every visit.


Diana Young, RDH
Diana graduated from Guilford Technical Community College in 1992. She is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and also was an Adjunct Instructor for the Dental Hygiene Program at Forsyth Technical Community College. Diana also attends continuing education classes to further her knowledge in the dental field. Volunteering in local dental missions and teaching dental heath in preschools and elementary schools is how she enjoys giving back to the community.
Diana has been with the practice since 1994. She takes great pleasure in the relationship that she builds with her patients and enjoys seeing them year after year. Diana also enjoys spending time with her husband and two active sons. Much of her time is spent at the football field and with church activities.

Amanda Tuttle, RDH
Amanda graduated with honors from Guilford Technical Community College in 2008. Upon graduation, she worked as a fill-in hygienist at various periodontal and general dentistry practices until she found a permanent home with Drs. Phillips and Cuthrell. Amanda believes it is important to help those less fortunate and promotes good oral hygiene. She has volunteered her time with The Giving Hand Foundation, Davidson Medical Ministries, and speaking to children at local schools. She is currently working with the University of Alabama on a smoking cessation study to help assist smokers with their decision to quit.
In her personal time, Amanda enjoys jet-skiing with her family, working on home improvement projects, and traveling to new places.

Sandra Madison, CDA
Sandra has been in the dentistry field since 1982. She has worked in all facets of dental assisting and has been certified for 24 years. She continues to attend continuing education courses to further her knowledge. She also taught as Adjunct Instructor with Forsyth Technical Community College in their Dental Assisting program. Sandra has been with this practice for 22 years (since the practice started in this location). She also served as President of the Winston Salem Dental Assistants Society and has represented the Society as a Delegate at the State Meetings.
Sandra enjoys traveling with her husband, Rick. She has also been on several dental Mission trips to Jamaica. Sandra lives in Clemmons and enjoys singing, worshipping, and working with her friends at Unity Moravian Church in Lewisville.

LeAnn Usher, CDA
LeAnn is a certified dental assistant and has worked at this practice since 2002. She is a member of the American Dental Assistants Association and the Winston Salem Dental Assistants Society.
LeAnn has accompanied Dr. Phillips on several mission trips including Cameroon, Africa; Mexico; and Leogane, Haiti. She attends continuing education courses throughout the year, including the NC State Dental meeting and the Hinman Dental meeting. In her personal time, LeAnn enjoys gardening, home improvement projects and her dog Maggie.

Heather Kersey, CDA
Heather is a certified Dental Assistant who graduated from Guilford Technical Community College in 2009 and has been with Phillips and Cuthrell since that time.
Heather is continuing to take courses to further her education and dental knowledge and is a member of the American Dental Assistants Association. Heather is planning her upcoming wedding in April 2011 and is an active member of her church.


Tiffany Morrison

Tiffany graduated with honors from Forsyth Technical Community College in 2007 with degrees in Medical Office Administration and Healthcare Management Technology. She also attends continuing education classes to further her knowledge in the dental and insurance fields. She is married with one son and in her personal time enjoys beach trips with her family, and volunteering at local elementary schools.
